2.2.4. EV_ABS¶ EV_ABS events describe absolute changes in a property. For example, a touchpad may emit coordinates for a touch location. A few EV_ABS codes have special meanings: ABS_DISTANCE: Used to describe the distance of a tool from an interaction surface.

The Nittan EV-ABS (F16N82010) is an analogue addressable Base Sounder that in designed for indoor use. The Nittan AV-ABS Sounder has 16 different tone option which can be selected on the Sounder. Each of the tones have one main alarm tone and a separate alert tone. When the main alarm is activated, it overrides the alert tone.

Therefore Nittan has made the EV-ABS Sounder obsolete with immediate effect. Please note: the EV-SDR Base Sounder is in all respects a direct replacement, with the added advantage that the device base is now an integral part of the product; so you no longer need to purchase an additional device base as was necessary with the EV-ABS.
